4 unique facts you need to know about raw honey

  1. May alleviate seasonal allergies

When you ingest raw honey, you ingest minuscule amounts of local pollen. Over time, you may become less sensitive to the pollen, building resistance to its effects, and thus your allergy symptoms may become less severe.

  2. Varies in shade of color

Raw honey comes in all shades of color! Lighter honey is mildly sweet and is best for baking and cooking. Darker honey tends to have a richer flavor and can contain higher amounts of minerals and antioxidants. No matter the color, all raw honey is delicious!

  3. A long shelf life

Over time, raw honey crystalizes due to the large amounts of natural glucose. If you notice your honey is crystalizing, it has not gone bad so don't throw it away!! All you have to do is soak your bottle in hot water for a few minutes to break up the molecules.

  4. Easy to add to your diet

Add a spoonful to your tea or drizzle on toast for added sweetness! OR include on a cheese board to show off your charcuterie skills! Raw honey is a delicious unprocessed addition to your pantry.

Our Raw Honey:

Our honey is locally-sourced to help you build up your immunity to local pollen allergens—and it sustains our local bee population. Additionally, we harvest our own honey every year, called our Worker Bee Reserve—straight from our very own Hon’s Honey Hives in Curtis Bay, MD. These hives provide meaningful employment + unique training for aspiring beekeepers in our program.
